Been waiting on something from this since seeing the Switch reveal. Looks like a Ghibli Zelda. I will have this on my plate plz.
This looks excellent. The end of August looks packed with this, Hades, GoT, Kena and Psychonauts 2
@Rob_230 Now if we only could get a new Dark Cloud.
It’s been 100 years…
Ni no Kuni! The art style alone makes it a must have for me.
That looks great.
But with Ghost of Tsushima, Psychonauts2 and Kena also there, it has no chance I will play it on Day 1..
But on the back up list for sure.
Those character designs look... not great.
Day 1 buy for me
Had my eye on this for a while. Can't wait!
@Flaming_Kaiser Saw this on Twitter today and the gameplay made me think of Dark Cloud though the graphics are straight up No No Kuni to the point where I thought Level-5 must have made this. I liked DC2 so much more than the first game a 3rd game could have been really nice. I didn't like NNK2 as much as the first with the emphasis on those skirmish battles but I'd still probably play a 3rd. So I'll play this.
For people going to buy this, you should probably be aware that this dev team literally stole background art from Studio Ghibli as could be seen in one of the previews. Who knows how much stolen art made it in to the full game.
@rjejr It was a great game the collecting stuff was something i really liked building up the Village dont ask if that was in the first or second but it was brilliant. I would even take a updated version of 2.😁
@Agramonte @Rob_230 Dont forget Tales of Arise on Sept 10th. Too much good content too close together 😭
@3Above such a great “problem” to have 😀
Looks wonderful, cannot wait.
Wow this looks amazing!
Looks great. I'll be all over this
@Flaming_Kaiser I think both Dark Cloud 1 & 2 had city building but I think in 1 we could just look at it, maybe it gave us bonus stats or something like that, but in 2 we could walk around in it and it became inhabited and we were given side quests to do by the people. Also, 2 was more like a full story driven adventure - never did heath the final boss at the end of the long path up that hill - and 1 was like a full blown tech demo in comparison.
Wow, been 20 years, no wonder I can barely remember. PS2.
@rjejr I have played the PS2 version on PS4 but this needs to remade especially the controls and dare i say it those PS2 classics i dont mind a remake but playing them on new hardware just damages the great memories i had. 😢
Thats why im always so baffled when people have such a game brought into the 21st century. Some older games with a fresh luck of paint and a little updated controls could make the games so much better. 😁
@Flaming_Kaiser I traded in my PS2 to buy a PS2 Slim but I never got around to buying the Slim so I have a bunch of games on disc I can't play. But since I already own them I won't buy them again. So I don't play old games unless I haven't played them yet. Still have plenty to play.
@rjejr Im still dissapointed Sony did not make a PS1 with a HDMI if you see how far people go to play older games and make it region free please. And some games i love to play even with their shortcomings but some games i rather keep my good memories off because of things like gameplay that is so much better now that i cant cope with it. I played Jak and Daxter the first one i could finish and had quite some fun with. The second one somehow was unplayable for me FFS could they not have a option to let me choose if i want inverted controls. But with a Jak and Daxter remake im certain that these games would be a million times better with updated controls plus how awsome would this be with updated graphics. If this would look as slick as Rachet and Clank (with their style ofcourse) .
@Flaming_Kaiser Nobody who really liked Jak & Daxter 1 - my favorite game of all time and forever my 1and only Platinum trophy - liked the sequels, b/c they weren't really sequels, they were more like spin-off, "Jak & Daxter: Grand Theft Auto". Except Jak X, which was Gran Turismo.
I'd play a Remake of 1 with Ratchet & Clank graphics but I wouldn't bother with the others.
Sony made a PS1 Classic with HDMI but did such a bad job nobody bought it. At least the PS3 plays PS1 discs, I played FF7 that way recently.
Maybe that PC company they just bought can make our Playstation discs play better in PC. I've tried a few of the software programs but my PCs were never powerful enough.
@rjejr I liked the first one but it had to struggle to finish because it really dated but the story was and with a graphical update i think it would be a solid game. The second OMG the controls i rather get kicked in the **** then finish it.
About the PS1 i meant with a way to play your old discs. I have the PS1 mini so bad and all the wrong games... ☹️
@Flaming_Kaiser Yeah if the PS1 Mini had a better selection of games we probably would have bought one but it was a lot of types of games we don't play.
@rjejr And that controller why no sticks. With some effort put in they could have let it download games from PSN with some trophy support and it would have been a hit. A pity thats suits only look at the competition and copy. ☹️
I am definitely gonna play this, but will prob wait for a deep sale!
